Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me.  Jesus I’m getting old.

On a side note, my oldest boy just lost his first tooth today and he is very excited about the tooth-fairy coming tonight. He has another tooth that is very loose but it can wait for a day or two before it comes out.

Sick people…

The 3 boys are all sick. Allergy season isn’t even in full bloom yet and they are already having a time with it. The wife went down with them but surprisingly enough I had no problems. This makes it the first time that all three boys and the wife got sick and I didn’t (score one for me).

We are still waiting for our income tax to get here but at least we have a date for it to arrive now. My new computer is only a little over a week away now.

Since it has been awhile since I posted, I will do a quick catch-up…    My wife decided that taking the interstate to work on a very icy day was a good idea. She hit a patch of ice and sent the car in to the guardrail. She was alright but the car (Grand Am GT) took a big hit. I am glad she was okay and even asked about her when she called, I never even asked about the car. She told me. When I seen it I wanted to puke. I still want to puke every time I see it.

Noah (the youngest) is walking around and climbing on everything. Roman (the middle) is still hyper and always a cause of grief for the his 2 brothers. Allen (the oldest) is off for two weeks from school, this being the start of the second week, and can’t wait for it to start again. His weight is still very low. We are working with the Doctor trying to get his weight up, and it is slowely climbing, but I am afraid that Roman will weigh as much as he does in no time. Hopefully we get this worked out soon.

Chicken maniccoti for supper last night. It was good but I forgot the Moz. cheese so it wasn’t as good as it was supposed to be. Oh well.  On a lighter note, the weather around here is finally starting to warm up and stay that way so I have been able to take the boys back outside to play a lot more which is good for them, but it is better for me I think. They are loud all the time, but at least outside is isn’t echoing all through the house at great volume.

I am one of THEM…

How quickly I became one of those people is amazing.  I stopped blogging after only 3 posts. Is that a record??   I will get back to it. Seriously.

What A Day…

I have had days where the middle boy doesn’t take a nap but never had one where the youngest doesn’t take one. Until today. I guess I never realized how much I depend on those little breaks through the day when the boys go down for a little while. Well, I do.  I need them like I need air to breathe. They might only be down for a short while but it is enough.  Both of them up and going like spastic monkeys is a lot to deal with.  Roman was running around yelling and proclaiming that everything in the house was his. Noah was following him around as best he could and was yelling right along with him.   I think that the best way to deal with this is to try and find a gigantic hamster wheel and putting the boys in it and then surrounding it with something sound-proof…

On a side note, one of the funnier parts of today was watching Roman proclaim loudly “MY SEAT!” after he was able to put his butt on it. Everything from the couch and loveseat to the toys, pillows, clothes, and at one point the front door, the fan, and the television. At least he didn’t try to sit on my Mountain Dew… that would have caused a war.

Generic? No friggin way…

Once again I find myself wondering how Roman can tell the difference between generic cookies and OREO cookies. He won’t have anything to do with them if they aren’t the real deal. I can’t tell the difference in them no matter how hard I try. He eats them dry so it’s not like the milk absorption rate has anything to do with it. They look the same and taste the same to me, yet there is one taste of the generic cookie and that is the end of it.  One time I tried taking a generic cookie and an OREO and using the icing and cookie from the OREO with a cookie half from the generic, I just knew that this would work. Wrong. He ate the OREO side and left the generic side.  It seems odd that the “Boy Who Will Eat Everything” has such a finicky taste when it comes to a cookie.

The welcome wagon…

I am going to try to do this blog about my life as a stay at home dad. I was not initially going to do it, but at my wife’s pressure, I will give it a go.  I guess I should give a little background since this is the first post:

I am 32 years old at the moment and never thought that I would see the day that I would be married, let alone have kids. I have three boys in the house with me, Allen is 7 years old and in 2nd grade, Roman is 2.5 years old and a monster, and Noah is the baby at not quite 1 year yet (his birthday is in December).  I have a daughter that is 6 years old and lives with her mother (I will go in to that story another time).  My wife is 27 years old and works for the state.

I never thought that I would be a stay at home dad, but my wife had the better job and there was no way that I could leave my boys with some stranger at a daycare while I worked. Call me paranoid, call me stupid, but I just couldn’t do it, so my life changed once again. Again? Yes again. It changed heavily from being single to being married but that is also something that I will get in to at a later date.

I (like most people lately) have a love for photography but I don’t take as many pictures as I should. I have always wanted to be a writer but it is something that I doubt I will ever do. I have a love of electronics and computers (same as most people). My love on electronics borders on crazy. I love gadgets as much as the next guy but I love working on them more than buying new ones when something breaks. If you keep reading this blog you will probably find out more than you will ever want to know about me because I find it easier to talk about myself when I write than in person.

That just about covers the basics so I will hit the brakes on this first post but more will follow. Hopefully I don’t turn in to one of those bloggers that starts up strong and then fades with the posting, but only time will tell.
